Some Things About Sheikh Abubakar M. Mukhtar

Sheikh Abubakar M. Mukhtar (1974-Date) was an accomplished Islamic scholar, emerging from a long and vibrant legacy of Islamic learning in Nigeria. Born in the town of Futuk at Alkaleri Local Government of Bauchi State, a small town will known for its Islamic beliefs and commitment in the State. Sheikh Abubakar was a consummate scholar and a mentor. He received a complete training in the traditional Islamic sciences: the Qur’an and its exegesis (tafsir & Fighu), Prophetic traditions (hadith) and history (seerah), jurisprudence and its sources (fiqh and usul), literature (adab), poetry, grammar and Zuhdu. He was educated mostly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the personal supervision of Sheikh Abdul-Salam Asuhaini, in Jordan By Sheikh Amadudin Muhammad Rasheed and also in Nigeria by Dr. Abubakar Birnin Kudu.

Sheikh Abubakar own scholarly reputation earned him the respect of Muslim ‘ulama in Nigeria and around the world. He is currently a practicing lecturer at Federal College of Education Yola at their Arabic Meduim Department. Besides the “traditional” sciences, Sheikh Abubakar Muktar also attained high merit in later academic education, completing a B.Sc. in Sharia from Islamic University of Madina, (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and an M.A. in Islamic Science at World Islamic Science and Education University Jordan. Sheikh Abubakar is fluent in Arabic, Hausa, and his native Fulani language.
